Finally!

I've finished uploading my portfolio. There were some missteps along the way.

Images uploaded to Blogger are automatically stored in a Picasaweb folder. I didn't know that when I started and actually had another public folder for my portfolio. When I realized that, I deleted the public folder and made the 'default' folder public.

The good news is that I won't have to update Picasaweb manually. The bad news is I had to delete duplicates, which deleted several photos in my posts. Because of the way Picasaweb handles file storage, Blogger couldn't find the remaining photos even though they were in the 'folder'.

Google does some great stuff (privacy paranoia aside) but their directory handling for Photos is really unintuitive, to say the least.

I've also added links to the side bar so instead of digging through old posts to view my work you can go straight to my picasa folder to check out my portfolio.

I welcome comments or critisism as long they're constructive and respectful. Let me know what you think!

Straightedge Toast

This guy maybe has my favorite bad tattoos of all time. Ever. Period.
Possibly because I have a real soft spot for straight edge tattoos and punk/hc tattoos, possibly because they are just hilarious.

All my friends have toast tattoos, because when you're poor and dumpster for your food bread is always readily available - it's this thing that kinda unifies us at this point in our lives. The Earth Crisis theme came about when some silly hardline XVX kids were staying at this punk house and talking about how belittling a band with serious issues is a bad thing, and how EC was cool and really helped push ideas into hardcore, and then they started insulting the people who lived at that house by degrading them and saying they had bad views, even making someone get near the verge of crying because she ate sparingly fish.

I realized that the lyrics for the beginning of Firestorm worked really well with toast (the original lyrics for those who don't know are "Street by street/block by block/taking it all back", referring to cleansing a neighborhood of drug dealers.) I went and got the tattoo done in an hour, showed them, and started drinking and eating cheese for the rest of the night (even though I was vegan at the time.) They stopped talking to me, and left shortly after.

I'm going to be getting a tattoo really soon that is based off of the anarchist atheist saying "No Gods, No Masters", but its gonna say "Dogs, No Masters" and have a kennel on fire and someone holding a leash with his brains blown out, and upside down crosses made of milk bones. I didn't think up that saying, though

Flower tattoo Designs

The Chinese are believed to be among the first people to wear tattoos. This dates back to the ancient Chinese colonies some thousands of years ago. Due to the beauty of their handwriting symbols, which is also known as the kanji, the Chinese symbols have gained popularity in the world of tattoos these days. It is believed that there are over 80,000 Chinese symbols from which you can choose your tattoo shapes. It has however been noted that many people don’t know what some of the Chinese symbols they are wearing mean. This can be the case if you get your tattoo simply because of the beauty it has from the Chinese symbols used. A love tattoo can take the shape of a heart. You may want to add cupid, the Roman god of love to make it more enticing. If you have just gotten into passionate love, then you can add cupid’s arrow, which symbolizes both the pleasures and pains that come with love. A broken arrow or a broken heart will mean that you once had love which was later betrayed. In the place of an heart, you can use a pair of lips to symbolize a kiss.
